16h14 UTC; THURSDAY, 5 APRIL 2012: For all the boasting and bombast which GOP Presidential wannabe Mitt Romney has been claiming of late about women voters eventually seeing his agenda as the correct such for the fair sex, consider that it's probably closer to what the Nazis back in Germany saw as their women's agenda: Kirche, Kuche, Kinder ("Church, Kitchen, Children").

Not to mention being expected to reduce themselves to a par with prostitutes if and when asked to "For My God and My Country," again on a par with the Nazis.

=============

Romney's main rival for the Presidential stakes, Rick Santorum, must have the same ideals about instruction in American History as such promoting the Christelik Nasionale Onderwys syllabus as prevailed in apartheid South Africa, one placing an unhealthy emphasis on an idealised set of Traditional Values over core skills as are essential to career development--to wit, as the late Briant Bunting noted in his The Rise of the South African Reich, vintage 1969:
All white children should be educated according to the view of life of their parents. This means that Afrikaans-speaking children should have a Christian-Nationalist education, for the Christian and Nationalist spirit of the Afrikaner nation must be preserved and developed.

By Christian, in this context, we mean according to the creeds of the three Afrikaner churches; by Nationalist we mean imbued with the love of one's own, especially one's own language, history, and culture.

Nationalism must be rooted in Christianity.
As for the specific syllabus of History thus prevailing, imagine this as being the Santorum campaign's ideal (and, in a way, that of Newt Gingrich):
History should be seen as the fulfilment of God's plan for humanity. The turning-point of history is Jesus Christ - history teaching must therefore include such facts as the Creation, the Fall, the Incarnation, Life and Death of Christ, the Second Coming, and the End of the World; and history must be seen as the struggle between the Kingdom of God and the Empire of Darkness. Also, God has enjoined on each nation its individual task in the fulfilment of His purpose. Young people can only undertake the national task fruitfully if they acquire a true vision of the origin of the nation and of the direction of the national heritage. Next to the mother-tongue the history of the Fatherland is the best channel for cultivating love of one's own, which is nationalism.
In essence, as per the David Barton interpretation of AmeriKKKa being God's Own Country, Now, Tomorrow, FOREVER (with Appy Polly Loggies to George Wallace there), replete with distortions, inaccuracies and careless misreadings (out of context, even) of historical documents to so reinforce.

So much for all those "419"-model appeals to you for "investment assistance" with what are probably plundered assets of state for all we know: In addition to facing potentially serious Federal charges for Aiding and Abetting the Unlawful Transfer of Funds Internationally (especially where the Immoral Proceeds of Crime or Terrorism come into play), you need to consider also (especially lacking any respect for due care or dilligence in handling Other People's Money, as per the Prudent Man Rule) the prospect of Serious Charges from your ur-client of Breach of Trust and Fiduciary Duty, Mishandling of Invested Monies in Trust, Making Inapproriate Investments and/or Related Conspiracies.

So much for right-wing prolefeed about the "unhealthy indoctrinating influences" of established youth organisations like the Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and Camp Fire as opposed to the "healthy and nuturing" such epitomised by South Africa's still-active Voortrekker youth organisation: Your Correspondent was noticing on HLN's breakfast programme the other day about a Mizzou student originally from a Texas ranch background as was taught to defy established stereotypes and ideals who set up within the local Boys and Girls Club in Columbia, MO (where Mizzou's campus is located) a youth organisation she calls "Dream Outside the Box" which seeks to challenge children from especially lower-income or socioeconomically-marginalised milieux to discover all possible job and career options out there, even to the extent of inviting students from the several Mizzou departments to explain through demonstration-laden talks to explain what it's all about.

What's especially interesting here is that before joining "Dream Outside the Box," many of the alumni had career designs based largely on racial stereotypes--some black boys, in particular, acknowledged originally having designs on becoming rappers or pro basketball players before discovering the wider range of career opportunities out there in this world so wide.

In any case, such an ideal may want to be worth adopting and embracing, especially in areas officially deemed "culturally-deprived environments" as lack any semblance of healthy or positive role-models for the future (and no, not such that Fox News would see in this respect, in particular racists, White Christian Nationalists, apologists for the Nazis or apartheid, Archie Bunker/Alf Garnett types and suchlike from the Dregs of Society).

So what stands in the way?

Doublethink, thy name is the GOP (particularly where such is excused by the "do-as-I-say-not-as-I-do" brand thereof): The Wisconsin Democratic Party has called out the campaign of GOP Presidential wannabe Mitt Romney before the Government Accountability Board in America's Dairyland for an incident (video of which is available) at a Cousin's Subs location in the Milwaukee exurb of Waukesha ahead of its recent primaries in which Romney and GOP US Senator Ron Johnson were seen giving away 7.5" subs in exchange for voter loyalty to the Romney campaign.

And the GOP still insists on "card check" (as in voter-identity mandates) to "maintain electoral purity and integrity" as one of their articles of faith!

Maybe it was time to dust off the "Little Audrey" brand of joke from a prolonged slumber of sorts and offer a few new such for our times:
  • Little Audrey was watching Fox News out of boredom one day ... and she laughed and laughed over just how pathetically ridiculous its "news" coverage really was (which really isn't).
  • Little Audrey was listening to Rush Limbaugh one afterlunch ... and she laughed and laughed at just how pathetically obnoxious his agenda really is.
  • Little Audrey was attending a "Tea Party" rally and picnic one dull, ennui-laden Sunday afternoon ... and she laughed and laughed at just how outrageously ridiculous their message was.
Any more you can think of? Leave them in the Comments section following these posts.

Finally, a "heads-up," readers: In case no post is displayed in this accustomed place tomorrow, it's because of an annual road trip yours truly has with Mein Innkeeper Friend to Spamtown, as in the SPAM Museum.

Meanwhile, have yourself a happy Easter (for the Christian readers of this blog) ... and, for the Jewish readers thereof, a joyous and festive (not to mention reflective) Passover.

REMEMBER THIS: Your comments on, and responsible sharing of, these posts are always welcome and appreciated. And if ever you need to contact me with questions, comments, whatever, please do so through this page; the which is necessary to preempt "spam" generated through the greater website.
