Something Hormel ought think about for its bid (subject to regulatory approval) is that Joan Crosby Tibbetts, the daughter of cartoonist Percy Crosby (1891-1964), has taken issue with the makers of Skippy Peanut Butter over the years (back when it was owned by Unilever and, before that, Best Foods) vis-a-vis Unlawful Trademark Infringement over the comic strip character that her father created for newspapers the world over from 1923 until 1947, eventually inspiring a novel, an Oscar-winning movie, a daily radio series and much in the way of licenced merchandise (including the aforementioned Skippy Peanut Butter, which debuted in 1932) ... but which, in the end, would be his ruin, eventually leading him to alcoholism, a suicide attempt and eventual commitment to an insane asylum.

(Especially distressing among its revelations: Much of its 2013 budget being allocated to prolefeed efforts through Glenn Beck's online prolefeed conduit, TheBlaze.com, as well as Rush Limbaugh's belaguered talkback radio programme, by way of "cash-for-comments" campaigns expected to be kept discreet.)

And One Thing More (Appy Polly Loggies to the late Paul Harvey there): If "Tea Party" types are forever adamant about expecting their target audience of "poor whites" to "empower themselves" all the more based on the disciplines of Industry, Self-Reliance, Personal Responsibility, Thrift (preferably according to Cash Economy) and A Wholesome and Simple Home Life they cherish "deeply and dearly" as The AmeriKKKan Way, then why aren't they actually leading the effort by launching viable initiatives as can actually empower the "poor white" through jobs creation and economic development (as opposed to the perversion thereof taking forms of "cashflow gifting clubs" using such permutations as "Aeroplane," "Dinner Party," "Pit Stop" and suchlike to disguise the potentially illicit intent)?
