00h UTC; FRIDAY, 29 JUNE 2012: Your Correspondent feels it best to explain beforehand that he was thinking somewhat about the following last evening, as Our Dear Lovely and Morally-Superior Nation was holding its collective breath over how the Supreme Court would rule on ObamaCare's legality ... and just this morning, we found out that such WAS Constitutionally kosher inasmuch as the mandatory health-cover mandate was within the Constitutional taxation mandate delegated unto Congress.

And with certain specimens of conservative prolefeed Zealotry and True Belief starting to rip the decision apart as but The Beginning of the End for Our Dear Lovely Nation, the issues which I will discuss perhaps carry some fresh and especially timely relevance. With this as backdrop, I urge all readers to please share this (responsibly, know) with your e-mail contacts and in social media; the better to stimulate and spark serious, viable even, discussion on what may be a Vital, Yet Underrated, Campaign Issue of Indecision 2012.

=============

As we all know, boys and girls, conservative articles of faith are forever insisting on a "people-centred" model, "market-based" even, when it comes to public sector programmes and policy (as if insisting that policies based on the Afrikaans expression 'n Volk red homself, "a people rescues itself," can best help the poor to help themselves--so long as they are based on ekonomesie vryheid met Amerikaanse eienskappe "consistent with AmeriKKKan national character, identity and experience," and follows "market-driven" disciplines which, far from empowering especially the Lower Classes, only risks further enslaving such with cartel behaviour in the guise of "free markets").

And what's more, insisting that a "people-centred" model, rather than one based on centralised bureauracy and paperwork, is more likely to "generate significant and measurable taxpayer value" (cf. the Volkskapitalisme ideal as part of the Afrikaner Economic Development agenda of the Afrikaner Broederbond and affiliated sects down South Africa way to save the Afrikaner from enslavement between 1939 and 1948, which saw the creation of employment and training opportunities to take precedence over the traditional creation of wealth as is at the heart of ekonomesie vryheid, &c., such expected to be regarded as "people-centred," so to speak, all the more. Which, in its turn, was expected to create purchasing power as was itself expected to be leveraged constantly into "productive capital" for the Greater Luscious Glory of the Afrikaner, to be reinforced by the promotion of Helpmekaar ["helping each other"] in the form of retail cooperatives, mutual savings and benefit societies and through the Reddingsdaadbond, expected to encourage the Afrikaner to reaffirm his national identity towards a Volkseenheid ["natural unity of the people"] through culture, sport and economic empowerment).

Which all sounds good in theory.

But then again:
  • How exactly would conservatives define "people-centred" within the context of their delusional AmeriKKKan Exceptionalism, unaware that "people-centred" is a popular prolefeed meme of the North Korean regime (e.g., their seeking to perfect a "people-centred socialism")?
  • What exactly would constitute the defining standards of "people-centred" ekonomesie vryheid, &c., as would be acceptable to conservative and "Tea Party" thought?
  • How "people-centred" is AmeriKKKan National Character and Identity expected to be before "Tea Party" Zealots and True Believers in particular can accept such as a Holy of Holies?
  • How exactly would National Unity and Identity best be served through a "people-centred" model of public policy expected to be "market-driven" (which, IMHO, is the context these conservatives want applied and understood), especially when these same conservatives' ideal of "nation" is that encapsulated in the white-supremacist acronym ORION ("Our Race Is Our Nation")?
  • Isn't the whole concept of a "people-centred" model essentially one which subordinates selfish interests to a Greater Collective Good (cf. North Korea), never mind that these same Zealots and True Believers are forever hard-wired in their insistence on "freedom of choice," "freedom to choose" and "free will of the individual"?
  • Is it actually possible for the Real American amongst us (unlike the manufactured "REAL AmeriKKKan" Fox News and suchlike likes trotting out every now and then for prolefeed purposes, in his Luscious Glory of "racially-aware" poverty, fecundity and ignorance as can easily be manipulate to the extent required as required) to create a realistically "people-centred" model of socioeconomic empowerment and rescue as can actually diss off, drive paranoid even, such enablers of dysphemistic dogwhistles who insist they have first claim on, and a "natural right" to, the very concept (howbeit ill-sorted)?
    (The which no doubt recalls to mind Doll Tearsheet's famous observation from Henry IV, part II [act ll, scene IV] calling out Falstaff for seeking to provoke a fight at the Boar's Head Tavern: "God's light, these villains will make the word as odious as the word 'occupy;' which was an excellent good word before it was ill sorted: therefore captains had need look to 't." Incidentally, in Shakespeare's time, "occupy" was a slang term for the sexual act.)
  • How exactly can a "people-centred" model of socioeconomic policy actually be made consistent with the doctrine encapsulated in the Afrikaans expression 'n volk red homself ("a people rescues itself"), such as conservative ideologues and prolefeeders love to hold deeply and dearly as an article of faith (yet without the taint of racist, Christian Nationalist or other potentially weird and unwholesome associations in the end)?
  • What otherwise stands in the way of putting WORDS into ACTION sooner rather than later, especially in view of the travesty aforementioned being all the more likely unless timely intervention occureth?
As I said earlier, let this message be shared (responsibly, know) with one and all; the better to show that there is a right way (and a wrong way, come to think of it) to achieve a "people-centred" ideal of socioeconomic recovery and rescue as is viable and at once productive for especially the Lower Classes being all the more in danger of serious exploitation and manipulation reeking of a hybrid of PsyOps, Scientology and the "fagging" system of English "public" (read: boarding) schools made infamous in Tom Brown's School Days serving a warped and perverto delusion of patriotism on steroids and amphetamines. And, let it be hoped, that working examples and specimens be up and running within measurable distance as will drive the most hard-wired of conservative Zealots and True Believers in "people-centred" policies to the bottle hard-time, eventually to wind up in some second-rate Skid Row "rescue mission" and eventually be rectuited under false pretenses onto a "wino crew" in Alaska commercial fisheries, with consequences best left to your imagination.
