20h UTC; FRIDAY, 25 OCTOBER 2013:
As if the end of incandescent lightbulb manufacture and sales in the United States wasn't bad enough for so-called "patriot" types in their Luscious Glory of warped and perverted "Wise Use" tropes, it's possible that such of that ilk could be overdoing it hoarding up the last remaining such, and trying to avoid arousing suspicions on the part of store clerks or management.

Hence, this "heads up" of sorts for retailers of light bulbs to watch out for the prospect therefor. As well as the possible resale therefor at inflated prices on online auction or want-ad sites.

Which ought be enough to suggest reading this rather interesting article on what must go through the mind of your typical rank-and-file "Tea Party" supporter, even as the Holy Father (as in Pope Francis) is taking exception to how certain religiopolitically-inclined "evangels" are perverting His Word and Ministry..

Kudos are perhaps in order for the lesbian feminist collective as is behind "Kill Joy's Kastle", created as a satire on the Christian prolefeeding "Hell Houses" popular in certain culturally-deprived parts of the country around the Hallowe'en season, and set up mostly for scare through prolefeed in shock and gore form.

(And come to think of it, how many children have actually suffered psychological or emotional harm from the graphic nature of "Hell House" displays and exhibits?

"When you cut government spending, that frees up resources for private businesses"--or so one Stephen Moore with The Wall Street Journal told Fox News recently in defending Federal spending cuts, alias Sequestration ... and if this be the case, then what exactly prevents bankers from making loans or finance available all the more to small business, leaving them open to exploitation from fringe lenders or loan brokers?

(And perhaps we Real Americans need to be reminded of the real costs of mininum-wage, dead-end positions, even as conservative prolefeeders forever insist that a) jobs "need to be created" all the more to move welfare cases "away from the crack cocaine of dependency upon government"; and b) that only through keeping taxes all the lower can job creation be stimulated all the more.

(That, and this online peittion from a group of Democratic Senators calling for a renewed emphasis on manufacturing jobs as a backbone of the American economy.)

As if revivalist evangel Todd Bentley's claiming that it was "raining gold" throughout his just-completed revival tour of South Africa wasn't a little on the suspiciously glowing side, you may want to consider this YouTube video as shows Bentley kicking someone in the face during a recent revival service, essentially putting paid to his Grand Delusion emerging.

Finally, in case you have questions about the Deeper Meaning of the Leading Image this time around, it's to call attention to the fact that this very blog has a rather comprehensive roundup of news headlines from news services the world over as deserves your due Notice and Attention, especially such among you as are too hard-wired in your dependency on conservative-leaning prolefeed conduits for your own good (and yet unaware that conservatives insist on a "words-as-weapons" mantra to excuse an ideological mantra for their media conduits).

Otherwise known as "The News Page."

Getting back to the whole "words-as-weapons" notion conservatives must love to hold dear as an article of faith, these comments from George Orwell's Nineteen Eighty Four as explained the mechanics of Newspeak as an ideological tool might serve as insight:
In Newspeak, euphony outweighed every consideration other than exactitude of meaning. Regularity of grammar was always sacrificed to it when it seemed necessary. And rightly so, since what was required, above all for political purposes, was short clipped words of unmistakable meaning which could be uttered rapidly and which roused the minimum of echoes in the speaker's mind. The words of the B vocabulary even gained in force from the fact that nearly all of them were very much alike. Almost invariably these words--goodthink, Minipax, prolefeed, sexcrime, joycamp, Ingsoc, bellyfeel, Thinkpol, and countless others--were words of two or three syllables, with the stress distributed equally between the first syllable and the last. The use of them encouraged a gabbling style of speech, at once staccato and monotonous. And this was exactly what was aimed at. The intention was to make speech, and especially speech on any subject not ideologically neutral, as nearly as possible independent of consciousness. For the purposes of everyday life it was no doubt necessary, or sometimes necessary, to reflect before speaking, but a Party member called upon to make a political or ethical judgement should be able to spray forth the correct opinions as automatically as a machine gun spraying forth bullets. His training fitted him to do this, the language gave him an almost foolproof instrument, and the texture of the words, with their harsh sound and a certain wilful ugliness which was in accord with the spirit of Ingsoc, assisted the process still further.
But then again, do these same conservatives realise that such can easily backfire in the wrong circumstances?

radio series Vic and Sade through the years)
