00h UTC; FRIDAY, 22 JUNE 2012: First off, Twitter would like to apologise to each and every one of you as were afflicted by problems through much of the day on their part as translated into frustration on the part of the Greater Twitterspherez, Yours Truly included.

Onward, then, with the topics at hand:
  • In its Luscious Glory of insistence that AmeriKKKan socioeconomic policy (especially in terms of socioeconomic recovery) must be at once "people-centred, not bureauracy-centred" (as in "born out of the Volk to serve the Volk," so to speak), the GOP/"Tea Party" element holding this ideal dear as an article of faith seems to be rather unclear as to what exactly constitutes a "people-centred" ideal, especially given their insisting that ekonomesie vryheid met Amerikaanse eienskappe is somehow "essential and integral" to AmeriKKKan National and Sovereign Identity and Character (and would love nothing less than a Constitutional Amendment establishing the "mere formality of legal recognition" to such a concept they insist is "unwritten tradition").
  • Whenever the "Tea Party" speaks of "National Unity and Identity," consider that their ideal of "nation" is that encapsulate in the racialist acronym ORION--"Our Race Is Our Nation." (Further reinforced by the Christian Nationalist trope that "every Nation is rooted in a country allocated unto it by the Will of Yahweh God.")
  • For such among you insisting that the corporatisation and privatisation of non-essential Government services will "generate significant and measurable taxpayer value" in the process, think again--especially after you read this New York Times op-ed about how well-intentioned privatisation efforts only backfired, with the Good Taxpayers having to pick up the loss in the end thanks to mismanagement, lack of transparent oversight, cronyism, spoils and bid-rigging.
  • Those in the cultural-conservative arena insisting that Branson's so-called "music shows" should be a defining acid test and alloy of an Amerikanischer Leikultur somehow "born out of the Volk," &c., aren't going to be very happy about yesterday's Supreme Court ruling in the United States throwing out substantial monetary penalties assessed by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) upon FreeVee broadcasters found to be broadcasting "fleeting" obscenities and nudity pre-Watershed, as if insisting upon our "morally-superior" FreeVee airwaves being as pure, antiseptic and flawless as the Maid of Astolat in the Arthurian mythos. (One issue the Supreme Court noted in its unanimous ruling, with one abstention, was that there were increased choices available to American viewers and listeners when it came to TV and radio broadcasting, thanks to cable/satellite and Teh Innerwebz, since the last major Supreme Court test of broadcast obscenity in the 1978 Pacifica ruling, when an FM station owned by the Pacifica Foundation was fined for broadcasting an extended George Carlin monologue replete with what's since become known as "the Seven Dirty Words" when children were likely to be in the captive listening audience.)
  • Worth watching for in especially "Tea Party" prolefeed vis-a-vis Indecision 2012 seeking to maximise donations from the ignorant and the vulnerable (as witness what MoveOn.org discovered vis-a-vis Mitt Romney's just-concluded Midwestern campaign bus tour) by pandering to emotions most base and crude: Deploying appeals thereto straight out of Nigerian scam letter greeting lines, among them "Dear Lovely One," "Dearest One," "My Dear," that sort of thing. Especially when delivered in a whiny, hyperjuvenile-bordering-on-moronic stylee as should raise questions galore about the sincerity and authenticity thereof.
  • How much longer before we start seeing the deployment of rather bad hybrids of HYIP's unto "loan funds" being marketed to the "REAL AmeriKKKan" in a manner not unlike certain pseudoreligious evangels before the PTL and Jimmy Swaggert scandals in 1987 in particular; i.e., by insisting that they "do the People and Nation a favour" by turning over their idle monies into "productive capital" to be leveraged as required for the Luscious Glory of ekonomesie vryheid, &c., unaware that the whole is willfully (and secretly) structured as a Ponzi scheme unlikely to make any real "productive capital" available in the first place?
So what do you think of this blog post, sucker?!
