00h UTC; TUESDAY, 18 SEPTEMBER 2012: In case you've yet to hear the news by now, Mother Jones magazine has released unto Teh Innerwebz undercover video footage of GOP Presidential wannabe Mitt Romney at a super-secret, private even, fundraiser for what Ayn Rand called the "Producer" class seeking campaign donations earlier in the year.

During same, Governor Romney is overheard telling the epistles of John Galt:
There are 47 percent of the people who will vote for the president no matter what. All right, there are 47 percent who are with him, who are dependent upon government, who believe that they are victims, who believe the government has a responsibility to care for them, who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you-name-it. That that's an entitlement. And the government should give it to them. And they will vote for this president no matter what…These are people who pay no income tax.

[***]

[M]y job is is not to worry about those people. I'll never convince them they should take personal responsibility and care for their lives.
In other words, echoing the likes of Afrikaner nationalists down South Africa way planting the seeds of apartheid through the Afrikaner Economic Movement (1938-1948), which itself had its origins in Die Tweede Trek, a symbolic reconstruction of die Voortrek from the Cape to the Highveldt as took up a good part of the Afrikaner mindset through 1938 as the train of nine oxcarts (all named for Voortrekker historical figures) made its way across South Africa ... at whose Bloemfontein stop "Vader" J. G. Kestell issued a call upon the Afrikaner to engage in a Reddingsdaad ("rescue action") as would save the Afrikaner from the bondage of "poor whiteism" that British domination reduced him to, one which was rooted not on State charity or relief but on appeals to ethno-national solidarity and cohesion to "give till it hurts" such spare change as they had as the wagon train moved onward to Pretoria and Blood River (in all, £450 would be collected).

Which would eventually take shape by way of the Eerste Ekonomesie Volkskongres ("First People's Economic Congress") at Bloemfontein in October 1939, under closed-doors auspices of the Afrikaner Broederbond in its Luscious Glory of enforced hyper-Masonic secrecy justified as being for the Luscious Glory of die Volk and its collective welfare--as in:
  1. Creation of a new, "people-centred" capitalism (Volkskapitalisme) as would place the Greater Collective Good of the Volk (as in jobs creation and entrepeneurship) above traditional capitalism's emphasis on simple wealth creation for purely selfish ends.
  2. Creation of a "spontaneous, mighty, Christian Nationalist" popular movement, the Reddingsdaadbond (RDB; "Rescue Action League") by name, to promote Afrikaner cultural and socioeconomic development and empowerment among the Afrikaner masses.
  3. Creation of an Afrikaner investment fund, Federale Volksbeleggings (FVB; "Federal People's Investments"), as would invest in Afrikaner-owned business enterprises and faltering businesses as could be turned over to Afrikaner management to serve the Volk.
  4. Calls for the Afrikaner to, through the RDB especially, do their part by patronising Afrikaner-owned businesses exclusively, buying products and services from Afrikaner-owned companies, using Afrikaans in advertising and business dealings, and doing their savings and investments through Afrikaner-owned savings banks, building societies, insurance companies and investment societies.
The goal throughout, as one leader of the movement explained it, being one of seeking to replace the "pious sentiment" heretofore applied upon the "poor white" through State relief and charity with "jingling coin" from profit, same to be leveraged all the more (and constantly) unto "productive capital" as would serve the Luscious Glory of the Afrikaner. To be further reinforced with discreet campaigns of union-busting and labour deskilling so that Afrikaner Unity and Cohesion, rather than collective bargaining, would be served.

Unfortunately, the Romney campaign doesn't want you to know this is his real socioeconomic agenda for such "dependent upon government" enow to reelect President Obama ... and Enquiring Minds Want to Know why this may be. (For its part, Mother Jones has more such undercover footage that they pledge to release within measurable distance. As for the initial article, click on the lead-off image [rather apropos and fitting, no?] to read same in a new browser window.)
