For one, Your Correspondent just doesn't exactly see the interconnexion that the so-called "Alliance Defending Freedom" hath in implying that the defence of ekonomesie vryheid met Amerikaanse eienskappe and that of "religious liberty" (howbeit in Primitive Christian contexts) are mutually interconnected, and that both have a natural coexistance vis-a-vis AmeriKKKan National Character and Identity as a Peculiar Among the Nations.

Especially in pushing Arizona's star-crossed attempt to sanction discrimminatory practice by supposedly "Christian" business owners against known or suspected homosexuals based on "deeply- and dearly-held beliefs" implying that homosexuality is Unnatural and Perverted, hence, against the Divinely-Ordained Order--and which several other states with "Tea Party"-dominant legislatures are reputedly considering.

Besides, aren't we forgetting where the Reddingsdaadbond movement in apartheid South Africa's formative years was presented as a Mission From God to save the Afrikaner in general (and the "poor white" such in particular) from socioeconomic enslavement under British control through the development and promotion of an Afrikaner national, cultural and socioeconomic identity?

In any event, that classic Monty Python routine was enough for Your Correspondent to recently come up with what I call The Monty Python SPAM Breakfast Sandwich, as can be made with those microwave egg muffin sandwich makers (around $5 at supermarkets, discount and variety stores; distributed by a company called Good Living and sold under the Good Cook brand), liquid egg substitute (I prefer Egg Beaters Southwestern Stylee) to which a splash of egg and a dash of salt-free seasoning blend are stirred in.

The which is topped off with your choice of combination involving SPAM (in my own case, SPAM Lite and SPAM Oven-Roasted Turkey), Canadian bacon (Land O'Frost being my preference; Hormel, as makes SPAM, was actually the first to introduce Canadian bacon, and may also be worth trying--so is Jones Dairy Farm) and/or pre-cooked sausage patties (turkey such in my own case; I've used Jimmy Dean and Bob Evans such) ... then, close the cover and put it in the microwave for between 1-1/2 and 3 minootas on High power, depending on your microwave's age and wattage.

Serve the whole, topped with a slice of process cheese (Hy-Vee Fat-Free American Singles for moi), on a toasted English muffin, bagel, croissant or baking-powder biscuit, as you prefer.

It couldn't come any sooner, methinks: With another night of extremely cold weather (and corresponding wind chills) expected tonight into tomorrow morning, the weather forecast for the Minnwissippi region calls for some semblance of improvement as the week progresses--as in maxima gradually going up into the 20's by Tuesday, eventually reaching the mid-30's by Friday before slipping into the mid-20's by next Saturday. Let's hope that Spring will make her presence known all the sooner up this way; we can't wait.
