00h UTC; SATURDAY, 27 OCTOBER 2012: So much for that Grand Delusion being pushed among Elmer Gantryite types insisting that the "REAL AmeriKKKan" who calls himself a "Good Christian" in the bargain cannot out of Good Conscience and their Deeply- and Dearly-Held Beliefs be expected to vote for Democratic candidates in the upcoming Indecision if they value the defence of Our Dear Lovely Nation as a Bible-Believing Christian Land--especially so one on the model of apartheid South Africa, which insisted that "Christian values" condoning racism justified the policies thereof (and excused calls for white, especially Afrikaner, families to "make babies for Botha" out of Racial and National Duty).

Latest stoopid case in point vis-a-vis the preceding right here; read it and weep.

Meanwhile, where exactly do the Divine Scriptures explicitly, or otherwise by implication, hold that a mutual interconnexion exists vis-a-vis the defence of ekonomesie vryheid met Amerikaanse eienskappe of that brand supposedly "born out of the Volk to serve the Volk" and that of Traditional, Bible-Believing Christian Values among especially the Fundamentalist/Primitive churches most likely to push the aforementioned trope?

As if the prospects of Hurricane Sandy combining with an on-shore low translating into "Perfect Storm II" by early next week, with serious impacts expected across the Northeastern states especially, wasn't awful enough for refiners to go into "cold shutdown" ahead of possible power disruptions and storm damage therefrom to adversely impact gasoline and diesel fuel production (in its turn translating into knock-on price increases within measurable distance), expect conservative prolefeeders to claim (as usual, without any proof beyond "Hitler Diaries"-stylee forgeries) that such was a last-minoota prolefeed tactic on the part of the Obama/Biden ticket. Besides: Exactly what part of force majeure don't conservative prolefeeders get, especially where an Act of God aggravates same?

Meanwhile, GOP Presidential wannabe Mitt Romney doesn't exactly recognise that:
  1. Iran actually has not one, but two, maritime shipping conduits (as in the Caspian Sea to the north and the Arabian Gulf to the south, which allows Iran access to the Mediterranean via the Suez Canal);
  2. Syria is actually on the Mediterranean coast, with its biggest city being its main port of Aleppo (thus putting paid to his claim that Syria has to go through Iran to access the sea); and
  3. Since an Executive Order under then-President Reagan in 1983, a trade embargo has been in effect with Iran as also extends to Iranian oil imports.
(But then again, it may be worth remembering that between the two World Wars, per the Treaty of Versailles, the Vistula River and the North Sea port of Danzig were under League of Nations protection, the better so a now-landlocked Poland could have ocean access; in Danzig's case, it was officially regarded as a "Free City" under League of Nations Mandate.)
