Puerto Rico, American Samoa, Guam
or the U.S. Virgin Islands.)

18h03 UTC; SATURDAY, 1 NOVEMBER 2014: In any case, it's pretty much good to be back here in this accustomed place after taking a day off to accomodate my six-month physical checkup. And this morning, some blood and urine samples of the sort as require overnight fasting were taken at the local polyclinic's lab.

Which may or may not require some further rejiggering of my medication cocktail (as if taking a multivitamin and a baby aspirin every day wasn't good enough), depending on how my doctor interprets the test results. One good thing, though: I have seen serious reduction in weight and cholesterol numbers since back in May, my blood pressure is close to decent levels--but there may need to be a new blood-pressure medicagtion owing to the one I take causing serious coughing fits.

And I just hope, even considering my mother's death recently, and the ensuing reaction, I can continue making the progress and hanging in there, even for an old boy of 53.

One thing, though, has become necessary considering as much my age
as my family background: A colonoscopy has been scheduled for Your Correspondent on December 3rd, what with the old genes and chromosones on my part (and the family's, for that matter) indicating high risk for colorectal cancers (my mother had the risk for diabeetus, and died of kidney failure so complicating). There's been a consultation set up on the 21st this month (just under a week before Thanksgiving, mind you) to discuss the colonoscopy and the procedures to be expected. Including some wooziness from the anethesia which would likely rival a bad hangover afflicting the Hair Bear Bunch after a wild night fleeing the Wonderland Zoo.

In any case, I just hope I don't crack up even more seriously.

Meanwhile, hast thou seen "It's So Hanna-Barberaesque" yet, be it through Yola and/or via Tumblr (the latter, know, being the present formality for having a blog within your Yola website)? In any event, I think you might get to like my Hanna-Barbera-flavoured blog of musings and fanfics which seeks to be something of a breath of fresh air to compensate for upcoming changes in the format of Boomerang, Cartoon Network's sister network of classic animation ... the outright loss of animation from Saturday-morning FreeVee television in the United States (and forget the "blame Obama" canards here) ... and Hollywood's seeming fetish of late with death and mayhem vis-à-vis the several Marvel and DC Comics superhero franchises, which can risk crossing into the hackneyed before too long.

So till next time, folks: "73"
(Which, incidentally, was railroad telegraphers' shorthand for "goodbye.")
