16h33 UTC; SATURDAY, 18 FEBRUARY 2012: So much for the notion among the forces of GOP/"Tea Party" Zealotry and True Belief, in their interconnexions with the Elmer Gantry crowd, that the debate over Federally-mandated funding of contraception and birth-control services as per health-care reforms is actually one about Religious Liberty as one with Our National and Sovereign Identity: How much longer, Your Correspondent asks, before the "Religious Liberty" meme reeking of non-issue starts being applied to ekonomesie vryheid met Amerikaanse eienskappe "gebore ons die Volk, die Volk te doen" (as if suggesting that the defence of ekonomesie vryheid, &c., is automatically that of "Religious Liberty," and vice versa)?

(Which can get especially obnoxious, hilarious even, when you stop and consider that some of the most ardent examples of arrogance in so-called "multi-level," "binary" and "forced matrix" marketing schemes--the exceptions more so than the rule, as it were--tend to be "Bible-Believing Christians" of a most extreme Zealotry and True Belief. Unaware, know, that many such companies prefer to link their earnings to building downline more than selling viable products or services. Or, for that matter, may be unconscious Ponzi schemes.)

Getting back to that Grand Delusion about the battle over contraception (and the right thereto) being one about Religious Liberty, may I remind such pushing this rather illogical meme for prolefeed ends of "Red Herring" stylee more than anything that the Nazi regime essentially saw their women deemed to be "racially pure" to be nothing more than breeding stock for the "Aryan Master Race" which the Third Reich saw to be the eventual salvation and reclamation of German National Honour, Glory and Identity.

All expected to "submit graciously" to the lustful desires in particular of SS officers, marriage regarded as an "outdated impediment" to race mastery--with the ensuing offspring being regarded as legitimate until the Third Reich collapsed, with their democratically-inclined successors refusing to recognise Nazi-issued birth certificates for such fruits of Lebensborn ("the Fountain of Life," as the regime officially preferred to style this Noble Experiment), rendering them as bastard to the point of being unable to lead normal lives or find work for want of acceptable birth documents, forcing such on State welfare.

(Let's not forget where the Hitler Jugend's "hiking excursions", sometimes in close proximity to such among the Bund Deutscher Madel, were also expected to denigerate into State-sanctioned orgies for the Greater Glory of Hitler and Germany.)

"Those who do not recall the past are condemned to repeat it."

So-called "REAL AmeriKKKa" (as in the rural/small-town Arcadia Fox News idoliseth in its Luscious Glory of Delusion for the Reclamation of Our Dearest Nation from Itself, howbeit sugar-coated in the extreme) could be even deeper in peril with the Clear and Present Danger of the Postal Service facing serious financial problems as are forcing them to:
  • consider another increase in the letterpost rate from 45 cents (introduced just under a month back, know) to 50 cents, well in excess of the maximum increase allowed by law (as in relative to the Consumer Price Index);
  • force 18,000 employees to take early retirements or contract buydowns, with no replacements therefor being hired;
  • discontinue Saturday mail deliveries, which would especially harm rural areas lacking decent Innerwebz access apart from dial-in such for the most part; and
  • reduce established mail-delivery standards thanks to the closing of smaller Regional Sorting Centers and their amalgamation into larger such, and closing money-losing Post Offices in especially country areas.
And we know the rather lame excuse the Fox News crowd offers as their solution: "It's in the Marketplace!"

And how much sooner before calls start materialising for outright corporatisation of the Postal Service, with a concurrent share issue reinforced with blatant calls to the most latent and primitive patriotism known to scare the "REAL AmeriKKKan" into subscribing for inflated numbers of Postal Service shares that are more than likely to be traded on the Pink Sheets or, at best, the OTC Bulletin Board?

Those among you of a certain age may recall Nesbitt's Orange Soda, with a rather pronounced orange flavour (what with its being made from real oranges, know), the bottles of which proudly proclaimed "The name Nesbitt on a soft drink is like Sterling stamped on silver."

I mention this inasmuch as Entrecard, which is pretty much the predominant vehicle for Your Correspondent to make this New Explosion of Pedigreed Bull on Teh Innerwebz known across said Innerwebz, sees themselves as a "mark of quality" when it comes to Teh Blogospherez, allowing bloggers to showcase themselves by earning advertising credits to promote themselves on fellow blogs ... but for some reason, it seems to be attracting the worst sort of blog known, as in that whose blog posts tend by and large to be little better than "copy-and-paste" boilerplate articles which lack the sincerity and originality Entrecard would prefer of blog posts. Such, perhaps, being paid for yet not identified as such in line with recent revisions to 16 CFR 255, a Federal Trade Commission rule in the United States which deals with use of testimonials, endorsements and other paid content in advertising (especially absent equivalent legislation or policies in other countries).

Granted, many of the blogs I drop my card at have decent, original content as is worth reading and worthy of advertising on; however, it's these boilerplate-laden blogs as are dragging down Entrecard seriously to the point of risking its credibility and trust being compromised. So much so, in fact, that I was compelled to drop from the ad rotation in my own blog just last night, know, at least four member blogs whose content is little more than insincere boilerplate articles whose sourcing God only knows. And I do intend to drop the ads of suchlike other blogs from the rotation as deemed necessary.

(One easy cluedo to so identifying possible boilerplate-laden blogs: Their cards being little more than cheesecake or otherwise stock pictures lacking any serious interconnexion to actual blog content.)

Hopefully, fellow Entrecarders, let it be hoped I have set a worthy example worth copying and emulation.

And let it be hoped that Entrecard starts taking serious action per their Terms of Service against such insincere specimens of blog whose content, for the most part, lacks originality, sincerity and quality of content. Remember what I said earlier about Entrecard being a "mark of quality" for the Greater Blogospherez to be proud of ... and let's hope it can be such again. (Or what stands in the way otherwise?)
