15h54 UTC; TUESDAY, 27 MARCH 2012: For those asking about the interrelationship to what's being discussed here today, readers, allow me: German photo-collage artist John Hartsfeld (1891-1968), himself influenced by the Dadaist movement of the early 20th century, was fond of using photomanupulation as a way to whip up opposition to the Nazi regime and its agendae; in this particular instance from 1934, entitled "Das Kreuz war nicht schwer genug" ("The cross wasn't heavy enough"), Hartsfeld takes issue with how the Nazis sought to approriate, manipulate even, Christian teachings and beliefs to conform with Nazi such by having the cross which Christ was made to carry preparatory to His Crucifixion reworked by a party underling into a swastika (as if to suggest that the Nazis wanted German Christians to believe that Christ died not so much for our sins, but also the "Aryan Master Race" which the Nazis sought to perfect; in fact, Liberty magazine published an article entitled "How Hitler is Rewriting the Bible" to show just how far such official interference could go).

Let this serve, readers, as our lesson demonstrating George Santayana's maxim that "those who do not recall the past are condemned to repeat it."

The which, readers, could relate in some small(?!!) way to "Tea Party" designs to "reclaim ekonomesie vryheid met Amerikaanse eienskappe 'gebore ons die Volk, die Volk te doen' from itself" (or so they think) through "union-busting" and "right-to-work" laws which ultimately risks pushing the working-classes into embracing an agenda based on the Afrikaans slogan 'n Volk red homself as was popular among Afrikaner nationalists in the late 1930's ... which itself brings up an item by way of the British daily The Telegraph about where management at Danish brewer Carlsberg's Lithuanian brewery in Beautiful Downtown Vilnius declared brewing to be an Essential Industry, on a par with government and emergency services, as a way to preempt strike action by employee unions and get them to return to work posthaste.

As if calls for the harnessing of spare change from the so-called "REAL AmeriKKKan" into "productive capital" as could be leveraged towards socioeconomic rescue according to the disciplines of 'n Volk red homself wasn't exactly adequate enough for "Tea Party" types, how much longer before such "productive capital" is expected to be further maximised through the agency of Exchange Traded Funds (ETF's) and Retirement Savings Plans under management of a Greater Patriot Fund as would manage the Noble Experiment (in theory; after all, it's possible such could unwittingly be structured as a Ponzi scheme with nothing to show therefrom in terms of socioeconomic rescue, jobs creation or business development)?

From the "We Are NOT Amused" file comes word that the Anti-Defamation League is taking the Turkish company Biomen to task over a TV commercial running in Turkey showing Hitler (as per newsreel footage of one of his speeches) making a mock "address" urging Turkish men "If you're not wearing women's clothes, you shouldn't be using women's shampoo.... Here it is, a real men's shampoo: Biomen."

As ADL National Director Abraham Foxman (himself a Holocaust survivor) explained in a statement expressing its objections:
The use of images of the violently anti-Semitic dictator who was responsible for the mass murder of 6 million Jews and millions of others in the Holocaust to sell shampoo is a disgusting and deplorable marketing ploy. It is an insult to the memory of those who perished in the Holocaust, those who survived, and those who fought to defeat the Nazis. This video is just the latest example of the use of Holocaust imagery in some countries to sell commercial products, which has contributed to the trivialization of and desensitization to the unparalleled horrors of the Holocaust. There can never be any justifiable purpose for using the images of Hitler, Nazis or any other depiction of the Nazi killing machine to sell products or services.
Which, in any event, calls to mind where a Taiwanese importer of German-made electric space heaters made headlines in 1999 for subway and bus stop posters selling the product featuring a cartoonish looking Hitler giving the Nazi stiff-arm salute and the strapline "Declare war on the cold front!"--as attracted complaints from the Taiwanese Jewish community.

So much for Geraldo Rivera's attempt at false equivalence in attempting to manipulate the Trayvon Martin tragedy through dogwhistle racism by connecting hooded sweaters to black "thuggery" in a stylee not unlike apartheid South African prolefeed excusing the exercise as one with White Racial Identity and Awareness: Your Correspondent would like to know how many of the 98 advertisers previously identified by Premiere Radio Networks as asking for rescheduling of their advertising away from shows with "objectionable or controversial" content in the wake of l'affaire Sandra Fluke advertise on Rivera's radio talkback show, the better to call for advertiser boycotts and calls to remove their advertising. (Especially if it's Fox News Radio as distributes Rivera's programme in the interest of marketing synergies vis-a-vis Fox News Channel and Fox Business.)

Those wanting proof that certain cultural-conservative prolefeeders must love to see Die Bransoner Muzikschaukultur being the "defining standard" for what constitutes Amerikanischer Realkultur need look no further than PoliticusUSA.com and Right Wing Watch for how such are reacting to the success of the film adaptation of the juvenile science-fiction novella series The Hunger Games at the box office.

And for sheer pathetitude, Right Wing Watch thus quotes the "Christian" film review site Movieguide.com's attack on The Hunger Games for supposed subtleties of liberal propaganda being promoted to the young:
What Americans need to realize is that the values that keep the rulers of the United States from doing things like forcing children to fight each other to the death are Christian values. The values that ended the death matches in Rome were Christian values. The values that ended slavery in England were Christian values. And, the values that should be crying out against such violence in movies like THE HUNGER GAMES are Christian values.

America has long been on the road to rejecting the Christian, biblical values that made republican virtues, hard work, capitalist progress, and liberty a beacon of light to a dying, hurting world.

Consequently, our culture, including the mass media that creates our culture, is filled with misguided leaders who want to completely change God’s definition of marriage, make pornography available to children or at least teenagers, keep every teenager constantly supplied with boxes of condoms, and steal money from the taxpayers to re-distribute that hard-earned money to freeloaders, loons, rich union goons, and radical activists.

THE HUNGER GAMES is supposed to be mere fantasy, but it seems like part of the problem. If one of the biggest movies of the year so far rejects or neglects America’s Christian heritage, then maybe a tyrannical leader like Nero or Hitler has indeed become a distinct possibility for the land of the free and the home of the brave.
(How emotionally pathetic can you get, especially when such reeks of prolefeed?)

These parts of southeastern Minnesota and western Wisconsin wherein Your Correspondent is resident happen to be a modest apple-producing region, even if such isn't exactly on a par with Washington state or the Johnny Appleseed country roughly parallel to The National Road (now subsumed by US 40 and/or I-70 between Wheeling, WV and Vandalia, IL) in terms of net production.

I mention this because the recent outburst of unseasonably mild weather up this way has translated into an unusually early blossoming of the apple trees on orchards across these general parts so as to come into flowering this early ... which, should there be a hard freeze sometime in April (which is not unusual), could translate into essentially writing off the 2012 apple crop up this way, what with trees being at an advanced early stage of pollenation as they are.

And which could be explained by some overzealously misguided religious (Westboro Baptist Church, for one) as a Show of Divine Wrath and Judgment Upon Our Dear Lovely Nation for Straying As Far From His Divinely-Ordained Will and Covenant Upon AmeriKKKa As It Gets (in particular the Condoning of Homosexuality and the Utter and Abject Disregard of Ekonomesie Vryheid, &c., for examples).

One Thing More, in particular for labour-union supporters who come across this blog and could misunderstand the significance of this post's title and stylee: Such happens to be the Engrish for "Because union-busting and right-to-work laws aren't good enough," via TranslationParty.com. Now you know.
