22h39 UTC; MONDAY, 11 AUGUST 2014: Such is the controlled reality (alias doublethink) of the Christian Right as insists that only a "people-centred" ideal of ons styl ekonomesie vryheid can be considered the true socioeconomic ideal for the "REAL AmeriKKKan," alias the "New Christian Man", Christian Patriots want created as will Reclaim Thy Dear and Lovely Land to His Luscious Glory and Service, in the process calling from abeyance the title apartheid South Africa so arrogantly wore of "God's Own Country" for propaganda ends more than anything.

The "New Christian Man" they insist, after the Jucheist model of North Korea, is the Master of Everything, expected to decide Everything as opposed to an "unfeeling" State.

In essence, ons styl Christelik ekonomesie vryheid, as they'd say in Bloemfontein.

Which is hardly Christian at all, come to think of it, even if such approroates the language of Jucheism as much as that of the Afrikaner Ekonomesie Beweging begetting apartheid indirectly--in particular the concept of Volkskapitalisme, a "people-centred" capitalist reinvention expected to deemphasise wealth creation in favour of jobs creation and training for the dispossessed "poor whites" that, in due course, would be expected to assert "natural Afrikaner right of dominance" socioeconomic upon South Africa. The support of which was expected among all Afrikaners, especially so through the likes of the Reddingsdaadbond movement and the FVB investment house, along with the tacit endorsement and support of the Afrikaner Broederbond in its Luscious Glory of hyper-Freemasonic secrecy in the Name and Behalf of the Afrikaner Volk, God's Chosen People Upon South Africa.

Especially considering that the tacit notion of a hyper-secretive society excusing "Christian duty" for such an agenda as winds up benefitting the same hyper-secretive society officially seeing themselves as the Volk's True Voice and Conscience, especially so those of the poorer and dispossessed sort whom Volkskapitalisme was expected to be their godsend. Not to mention designs on using a Reddingsdaadfonds as agent therefor, reinforced by emotional patriotic campaigns for the Afrikaner to "do the Volk and Nation a favour" by handing over their "idle monies" to said fonds for leverage into "productive capital" as would help the Afrikaner (especially so through the life-insurance house Sanlam, and especially so through its Bonuskor affiliate which called on policyholders with bonus rights to convert such into unit-trust shares; Afrikaner-centrist banks, savings clubs, building societies and cooperatives were likewise expected to "do their part" for Afrikaner empowerment).

Equally ironic: Perhaps the most successful example of Afrikaner Enterprise to come out of the Broederbond's ideal of Afrikaner socioeconomic empowerment was House of Rembrandt, a cigarette and luxury-goods company best known for such brands of cancers as Rembrandt van Rijn, Peter Stuyvesant and Springbok, promoted as one with Afrikaner Pride and Identity (as if their slogan, "Where every cigarette IS a Masterpiece!", wasn't tacky enough to disguise the dangers of cigarette smoking; it wasn't until after apartheid came down that South Africa's government recognised the health risks of smoking to the point of requiring health warnings on cigarette packets, increasing cigarette taxes and restricting cigarette advertising).

Which doesn't exactly make Christelik ekonomesie vryheid van ons styl all that Christelik to begin with.

In any case, Your Correspondent wishes to apologise at this time for the lateness of today's post, inasmuch as was busy with a number of things including welfare recertification, getting his bike off for not just a retuning, but also replacement of the chain and derailleur (as have become worn) and, to make some decent use of his time, killing time at the Sammy's Pizza buffet and watching Planes Fire and Rescue at a bargain matinee over the lunch hour.
