18h UTC; FRIDAY, 23 AUGUST 2013: It's probably just me here (at least for the moment), but you have to consider the likelihood of doublethink inherent when, on the one hand, you have quite the base of "wholehearted popular support" for denationalising State Social Security among the so-called "REAL AmeriKKKan" working-classes (as in blue-collar, Joe Sixpack specimens of "poor whiteism") ... yet, on the other hand, this same (presumed) base of support therefor doesn't have any knowledge on the mechanisms of the equities markets as would be at the heart of a (theoretically) "people-centred" model of old-age and disability pensions, such as endorsed by certain conservative ideologues in K Street.

(Except, understand, for latent and groundless anti-Semitic canards about "unhealthy Jewish dominance and control over Wall Street," as if insisting that the defence and maintenance of ekonomesie vryheid met Amerikaanse eienskappe "according to Christian principles," not otherwise specified, was a Mission from God to Reclaim Thy Dear and Lovely AmeriKKKa to His Name and Luscious Glory. Same expected to draw parallels to the Reddingsdaadbond movement down South Africa way in the early years of apartheid which sought the socioeconomic and cultural empowerment and uplift of lower-income and otherwise ignorant specimens of Afrikaner through appeals to ethno-national solidarity and unity rather than State or charity-based relief.)

And pray, how exactly would denationalising Social Security
according to Latinoamericano models that K Street prefers by and large actually help "strengthen self-reliance and personal responsibility" among especially unskilled or low-skilled workers?

How would such actually create a "Christian" socioeconomic model based on ekonomesie vryheid, &c.?

How would denationalising Social Security, for that matter, actually be considered "Christian" in the context of the distorted and perverted Scriptures that Christian Right drookies and fellow-travellers thereof invoke to excuse racism, sexism, homophobia, nativism and xenophobic jingoism (and more often than not, selectively quoted out of context)?

(Recall, readers, that the main rationale behind South Africa's depravities of apartheid was to give the Afrikaner payback for years of overzealous and condescending British contempt towards God's Chosen People on the African Continent, or so the Afrikaner was forever taught to believe--particularly so socioeconomically, and largely in response to the Carnegie Commission's 1932 report on the "poor white" problem in South Africa as was aggravated by Afrikaner insistence on "being among their own kind" for the most part, reinforced by ethno-racial and ethno-religious hubris and made worse by the Great Depression's global scope and extent. Hence, the designs of the Afrikaner Broederbond to tap into this latent identity for the sake of promoting unity through the likes of die Tweede Trek of 1938 and the Eerste Ekonomesie Volkskongres of 1939 as laid the foundation for the Afrikaner Ekonomesie Beweging as sought to rescue the Afrikaner from "poor whiteism" all the more by giving the Afrikaner Volk greater control over South Africa's economy, and using such as a weapon for maintaining Afrikaner power and dominance ... which managed to go well for the most part, culminating in South Africa's securing independence from the British in 1961, only to go into major crash-and-burn starting with the 1966 assaination of then-Prime Minister Hendrik Verwoerd.)

Let this, hopefully, be something to seriously ponder.
